Tombstone cookies

Lots and lots of baking going on around here getting ready for the Fanciful Twist Halloween Party which starts next weekend.  I can only give you a sneak peak at one project for now...

Let me introduce you to a couple of long departed brothers.

These are simple cookies to make.  A flood of grey icing, some moss green icing dabbed on with a paint brush, and a quick uneven hit with black food color spray give them an aged appearance.

I had a few chuckles googling funny tombstone names.  To my surprise, there are a lot of funny tombstones out there that are real.  Click here to see some tombstone humor.  Makes me think I need to get working on a good one for myself.

I didn't do it, but this would be cute made into a cookie pop and stuck into a chocolate cake covered with icing grass - a little edible cemetary.

Isabelle took these to Field of Screams on Saturday.  She and her friends  were properly scared silly and had a wonderful time.

Well, I am off to make witchy cupcakes for the field hockey team and marshmallows for the football team and more preparation for the big virtual party this weekend.  I made something REALLY fun that I am excited about.  It is a project that I have tried in the past and made a complete mess of, but this time it worked.  I am soooooooooo anxious to show you all , but you and I will have to wait for next weekend.

Bye for now!
