Yes, this took me a while to do.
I wanted to do something special for holy week -
no bunnies or chicks or eggs in this post.
Just a quiet reminder of what Easter means.
I have been wanting to make a stained glass cookie for a while now.
It was a pretty intense process - I sketched the design with a food marker, did an outline in black, flooded in all my colors, re outlined all the black "lead" lines, and then went back in with a tiny paintbrush and added some food coloring in places to give it more variation in the "glass".
This is not the type of cookie I would like to make by the dozens!
Wishing all my readers a very blessed holy week!

Beautiful cookie - I just wanted you to know that I am your newest follower! I know I will never be able to recreate your incredible sweets, but I do love looking at them! Hope you have a wonderful Easter!
ReplyDeleteOh Lisa, this is just too much for me to even comprehend, I wouldn't want to eat it, just glaze it to keep it forever. Wow. Have a very blessed Holy Week and a Happy Easter. xo
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing!

Oh my Lord, Lisa...literally & figuratively! LOL that is one very special cookie!
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed. You have far more patience that I. Can you shellac it to preserve it, like we used to do with the rolls & buns years ago? It would be nice to be able to display it year after year.
My goodness what a talent you have and how wonderful that you have used it to honor and celebrate this blessed week. Shannon
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful. You did a wonderful job.
ReplyDeleteWow! Just amazing! I recently made a St. Patrick's Day faux stained glass project so I know how much work went into this inspirational cookie. Thanks so much for keeping to the "reason for the season". I saw your post at " A Stroll Thru Life" party.
